L_square Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“these Terms”) govern the use of the “L_square” application (“the App”) provided by Assem Co., Ltd. (“the Company”).
By installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them.

Article 1 (Definitions)

1. The App: The “L_square” application and any related services provided by the Company.
2. The Website: The Company’s website that provides information related to the App.
3. User: Any individual who installs or uses the App.
4. Personal Information: Information that can identify an individual, including but not limited to name, address, phone number, and email address.
5. Intellectual Property: Inventions, works, trademarks, trade secrets, and other creative or business‑related information.
6. Intellectual Property Rights: Patent rights, copyrights, trademark rights, and any other rights related to intellectual property.

Article 2 (Acceptance of These Terms)

1. Users may use the App only after agreeing to these Terms.
2. A binding agreement based on these Terms is deemed to be formed when the User installs or uses the App.
3. Minors must obtain consent from a legal guardian before using the App.
4. If a minor falsely claims to have obtained such consent, any legal acts related to the App may not be voided.
5. If a User who agreed to these Terms as a minor continues to use the App after reaching the age of majority, the User is deemed to have ratified these Terms.

Article 3 (Revisions to These Terms)

1. The Company may revise these Terms at any time without obtaining prior consent from Users.
2. When revisions are made, the Company will notify Users through a method it deems appropriate.
3. The revised Terms shall become effective upon such notification.
4. Continued use of the App after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Article 4 (Handling of Personal Information and Data Protection)

1. The App does not collect, store, or process any Personal Information, including names, addresses, email addresses, identifiers, or location data. As a result, the App does not process personal data as defined under the GDPR or the CCPA.
2. Technical information such as crash data may be collected through Microsoft’s diagnostic services. Such data is anonymized and does not identify any individual. Details are provided in the Company’s “L_square Privacy Policy.”
3. Since no Personal Information is collected, rights provided under privacy laws such as the GDPR (e.g., access,deletion, correction, portability) and the CCPA (e.g., right to know, right to delete, right to opt out of sale) do not apply.
4. The latest versions of the Privacy Policy and these Terms will be posted on the Company’s website.

Article 5 (Prohibited Conduct)

Users must not engage in any of the following activities when using the App:

1. Infringing the intellectual property rights of the Company or any third party.
2. Damaging the reputation or credibility of others, or engaging in discriminatory, defamatory, or slanderous behavior.
3. Infringing, or potentially infringing, the property of the Company or any third party.
4. Causing economic harm to the Company or any third party.
5. Engaging in threatening or coercive behavior.
6. Using or distributing computer viruses or other harmful programs.
7. Attacking or attempting to compromise the App’s systems or security.
8. Attacking or attempting to compromise the Website’s servers or systems.
9. Decompiling, reverse engineering, or otherwise analyzing the App’s software.
10. Any other conduct deemed inappropriate by the Company.

Article 6 (Disclaimer)

1. The Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from modifications, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.
2. The Company is not responsible for the User’s device, network environment, or any related issues.
3. The Company makes no warranties regarding the suitability, accuracy, reliability, or defect‑free operation of the App.
4. Operating system updates may cause malfunctions, and the Company does not guarantee resolution of such issues.
5. Changes in store policies or platform requirements may restrict the availability or functionality of the App.
6. The Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the App.
7. The Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits.

Article 7 (Conditions for Use of the App)

1. Users are responsible for preparing and maintaining the devices, software, and communication environment necessary to use the App, at their own expense.
2. The Company does not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free availability of the App.

Article 8 (Contacting the Company)

Inquiries or communications regarding the App must be submitted through the inquiry form provided on the Company’s website or through another method designated by the Company.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
2. Any disputes arising in connection with the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo Summary Court or the Tokyo District Court.
